About Me

I have been teaching fitness to both groups and individuals of all ages since 1996 and teach most things from balance to belly dancing. I started my Pilates training with the Pilates Institute in 1999 and have done several modules - my favourite being back care. I passed my original repertoire, which is intermediate and advanced Pilates - in 2005. I also love teaching stability ball. Core training, alignment and rebalancing are really important to me and the ways I can link that in with pole dancing is really interesting. I have delivered workshops to both fitness professionals and physiotherapists, lectured on a sports science degree course and worked as the membership manager of a major health and fitness club.

I started PolePerfect in 2005. Pole work improves strength, tone, cardiovascular fitness, posture and self confidence and at the same time is such fun that you don’t even realise you’ve had a great work out!

People tell me how much their bodies have changed for the better since they’ve started fitness pole dancing, how much stronger they’ve become - especially in their abdominals and upper bodies, how much weight they’ve lost and how much better they feel about themselves.

My favourite thing about fitness pole dancing is the way you can always learn or develop a new move and how amazing you feel about accomplishing something that at first maybe seemed too daunting and now looks graceful and beautiful.

There's a lot more to pole work than dance - lots of people just like the challenge of the moves which can be quite gymnastic.

Many people prefer to wear trousers at first, which is fine, but as you progress you need the skin contact that hotpants allow. Check out my range of fitness pole dancing clothing.
