No, you can come along to any or all of my studio classes - you don't need to book.

Please book the university classes through them on 01392 264452 as they can get very busy.

I'm teaching from home until my new sudio is built. My address is 18 Mill Road, Exeter, Devon, EX2 6LH.

Where are the Exeter University classes held?

The university classes are at the Sports Park on the main campus. The post code is EX4 4QN. For full directions go to www.sport.ex.ac.uk

Do I need to be a student to attend the university classes?

No, everyone's welcome.

Do I need my own pole.

No, but you can buy one for practicing at home if you like. See if you like it as much as I do though first.

How long are the classes?

The classes are 1 hour long.

How much are the classes?

My studio classes cost £8 each and the university classes cost £4.50.

I'm a complete beginner and a bit nervous. Which class should I come to?

All my classes are suitable for all levels. Beginners are always welcome and don't work with the others until they feel ready.

Can I come by myself or with a small group of friends?

I teach private sessions for £40 each (which can be split between a group).

Is fitness pole right for me?

Pole work is great for everyone whether you're looking for gentle social exercise, the challenge of gymnastic moves or dance. I have taught men and women from 16 to 70!

What should I wear?

To start learning wear comfortable joggers, leggings or shorts and socks or bare feet (and no jewellery or body lotion).

Later I can supply you with (or give you advice on) clothing and poles. Look at my 'DVD and clothing' page.

Will pole fitness tone my tummy?

Yes! And your arms, bottom and legs! It will also improve your posture and flexibility and burn calories.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

You may want a bottle of drinking water.

Does the Perfect Pole need to be screwed to my ceiling?

No, the Perfect Pole does not need screw fixings. However it is recommended that you screw the top to your ceiling for added security and convenience. The screw hole can be filled with a filler in seconds.

Can I do anything to prepare for pole work?

The best way to improve at pole is by doing pole! But you may want to buy my PolePreparation dvd which will help tone and prepare you for pole work and is also a great stand alone workout. PolePosition gives you moves to do on your pole.

Can you teach me to teach pole?

Yes I can. Even if you've never been on a pole before....even if you're not a fitness or dance teacher. Please look at my 'Instructor Courses' page.

I don't have a lot of confidence. Can you help.

Pole work will improve your confidence. I am also a qualified life coach and nlp (neuro linguistic programming) practicioner and can work with you individually or as part of a self esteem and assertiveness workshop.
